SOMOCER GROUP AT PROJECT QATAR 2017 FAIR: A LEADERSHIP TO CONSOLIDATE

As part of its international development strategy, SOMOCER Group (SOMOCER and Sotemail) is taking part, for the first time, in the International Building and Construction Fair “Project QATAR 2017”, held from 8 to 11 May 2017 in downtown Doha, Qatar.

This participation, the first in an Exhibition in the Gulf and Middle East region, will undoubtedly offer a precious opportunity for SOMOCER Group, leader in the sector in Tunisia, to present its new products abroad including ceramic tiles, stoneware, porcelain and earthenware.

Indeed, the “Project QATAR” fair is a kind of melting pot allowing first-rate business contacts thanks to the presence of a big number of international investors and other decision-makers in the construction sector and the sector’s financing actors coming to present their products and services and aiming to establish contact and potential partnerships.

This year’s exhibition is of particular importance given the special circumstances in which it takes place. It is important to highlight the launch of numerous projects in the run-up to the organization by Qatar of major international events, including the 2022 World Cup, hence the rise in the construction market of around 12.4% in 2016 with nearly 9.3% of the 100 largest construction projects recorded in the Middle East.

This indicates the importance of this participation for SOMOCER Group, which will have serious chances of winning contracts to represent and carry out one or more projects in progress in Qatar. Thanks to its experience acquired during previous participations in Trade Fairs in Europe, the Group is able to conclude fruitful partnership contracts, which would give an additional boost to the Tunisian Group’s vocation as an exporter.

SOMOCER thus confirms its serious and ambitious approach, that has yielded remarkable results in 2016, and which it continues to follow in 2017, by strengthening its position as leader on the Tunisian market while placing itself in pole position at the international level, in particular in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
